The department

Skadden’s London Investment Management group focus on advising private capital business (including private fund sponsors, investors and investment houses) on their formation and operations. The work of the group includes structuring, formation and fund-raising of private funds across a range of sectors, including private equity, real estate, infrastructure and private credit.  The group also advise on incentive compensation, internal governance arrangements and regulatory compliance (including in relation to the AIFMD, marketing regulations and ESG regulation). 

The group is led by Greg Norman who has a growing client base and an increasing range of work and is accordingly seeking to build out the associate team.

The Role

We are seeking to build on our funds and investment management practice in the London office by hiring a lawyer to advise our clients on the full range of funds work in line with the rest of the department.  

Person Specification

We are looking for an individual with 6 months - 3 years' relevant post qualification experience in the London market , although those with less or more relevant experience will be considered on their merits. 

The role requires a candidate with diverse skills who is willing and able to work on the full spectrum of asset management work, including fund formation, investor representation, M&A and regulatory advice. The successful individual will have excellent written and verbal communication and as well as enthusiasm, drive and the ability to demonstrate initiative.   A high level of academic achievement is required.
